Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Park Manager to lead the operations of Aspen Place Manufactured Home Park in. This vital role involves overseeing daily park activities, ensuring resident satisfaction, and maintaining a safe, well-managed community. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. As the Park Manager, you will be the driving force behind the smooth functioning of the park, fostering a positive community atmosphere while managing administrative and operational responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with residents and respond to questions, concerns and complaints
- Follow up on rent payments and maintain accurate payment records
- Assist with RV bookings, tenant applications and new tenant move-ins
- Maintain tenant, maintenance, complaint and contractor records
- Prepare and deliver park notices and newsletters
- Submit monthly reports to the Vancouver head office
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance and approved contractors
- Monitor the general condition, cleanliness and safety of the park
- Report urgent maintenance, water, sewer or safety issues promptly
- Assist with rental advertising, applicant screening and reference checks
- Keep electronic copies of agreements, notices, invoices and other park records
The existing management agreement includes responsibilities for rent administration, resident communication, recordkeeping, maintenance coordination, tenant applications and reporting to head office.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Patient, respectful and professional when dealing with residents
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using computers, email and online recordkeeping systems
- Organized and able to maintain accurate documents and records
- Able to coordinate park repairs and maintenance
- Dependable, responsive and able to work independently
- Comfortable handling occasional difficult conversations
- Previous property management, manufactured-home park, building management or maintenance experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
Compensation
- Monthly compensation starts at $2,000, depending on experience and the final scope of duties
- Grass cutting and other physical maintenance or repair work are paid separately
- Larger approved repair, renovation or improvement projects may be paid hourly or by an approved quote
- Business-related supplies and approved expenses will be reimbursed
