Duties
- Safely operate a trucks to transport freight efficiently.
- Execute route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation laws.
- Manage freight delivery processes including verifying shipment accuracy, and documenting delivery details.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, vehicle maintenance needs, and delivery logs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience
- Proven truck driving experience with a valid AZ license and a clean driver and CVOR abstract and clean criminal record.
- Prior minimum 2 years experience in commercial driving environments involving delivery driver responsibilities is highly preferred.
- FAST card/ CDRP card a must for van division. Passport/FAST card required for border crossing.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues when necessary.
