Overview:
This is a casual position located in Hay River, NT.
This position will provide administrative support to the Distribution Technologist during a period of heavy workload. Work will predominantly be associated with Type 6 and Type 7 projects. Most day to day supervision of the successful candidate will be conducted by the Distribution Technologist, with management functions and additional support from the T&D Asset Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Electronic filing of documents

Reviewing finished project files for completeness

Following up with customers via phone calls and email

Assisting in the production of quotes or agreements based on templates

Assisting customers with incomplete Request for Service Forms

Following up with customers via phone calls and email

Submitting requests for project numbers, project statuses, and deposit amounts

Tracking received Electrical Authorizations

Tracking received Deposits
-
Providing administrative support for Type 6/7 projects to the Line Crew

Checking inventory levels
-
Completing requisitions
-
Following up with Line Crew on project completion and material usage

Provide partial coverage for the Distribution Tech position

Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline, with a minimum of one year experience in an administrative or clerical role in a technical or utility environment, along with customer service and project coordinator experience is required. Equivalencies may be considered.

Must demonstrate strong communication skills via phone and email.

Experience in assisting with project coordination, including following up on project completion and material usage.

Proficient in the use of computers and the MS Office suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other complimentary software programs.

Satisfactory criminal record check required prior to commencing work.
This is a casual position. Salary for this position is $39.03/hr plus 10% vacation pay. This position is located in Hay River, NT. NO relocation or accommodations are provided.
