What You’ll Do:
- Providing high-visibility patrols to deter and prevent incidents;
- Proactively addressing potential causes of crime on campus;
- Responding promptly to calls from the University community;
- Enforcing University regulations to maintain order and safety;
- Assisting in first aid responses, conflict resolution, and investigations;
- Distributing crime prevention information and ensuring event security;
- Monitoring and reporting potential risk areas for preemptive action;
- Undertaking other duties as assigned to ensure campus safety; and
- Be ready to take on additional related tasks as assigned – your role is dynamic and essential to our success!

Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring to this Position:
- Successful completion of a diploma or certificate in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Law Enforcement;
- Minimum of five years’ related security or law enforcement experience;
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered;
- First Aid Certificate;
- CPR Certificate with AED; and
- Possess and maintain a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook-GroupWise);
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to understand and execute verbal and written instruction effectively;
- Demonstrated ability to write legible and understandable reports;
- Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, co-workers, and the general public to work harmoniously within a team environment;
- Must be highly motivated;
- Ability to respond to unusual and stressful situations in a calm logical fashion;
- Ability to work with limited supervision;
- Attention to detail is essential;
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts which will include weekends and holidays

Pay Grade CUPE Phase 5 Salary Range $58,212.96 to $78,585.52 per annum Status Term Work Hours
Shift work: 12 hour shifts. 7am – 7pm and 7pm – 7am rotating
