Duties
- Assist customers with selecting liquor, wine, and spirits, offering knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when appropriate
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to maximize sales potential
- Upsell complementary products such as mixers, glassware, or specialty items to enhance customer purchases
- Ensure compliance with all legal age restrictions by verifying IDs and practicing responsible sales procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and maintaining a friendly attitude
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stock in the backroom to ensure product availability
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or beverage outlets
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures for smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in both English and bilingual settings if applicable
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for team collaboration
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, pricing, and inventory management accurately
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and proactive approach to upselling and product demos
