Cape Breton Beverages is a fourth-generation, family-owned Pepsi bottling franchise. The company has been operating in Cape Breton for 75-years, and together with its sister company Trans-Atlantic Preforms employs over 100-people on Cape Breton Island. We locally produce Pepsi, 7-Up, Schweppes, and Crush soft-drink products and distribute other beverages including Aquafina, Montellier, Bubly and Evian waters, along with Gatorade, Dole, Lipton, Starbucks, Guru, Rockstar and Celsius beverages to Cape Breton Island, as well as produce specific packages of Pepsi and other-branded soft-drinks for the rest of Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and Ontario. As part of the Pepsi family, we are focused on delivering high-quality products and exciting brand campaigns to our customers. Cape Breton Beverages also provides Full Service Beverage and Snack vending throughout Cape Breton Island through its subsidiary Downeast Vending.

Description
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the successful applicant will be primarily responsible for order picking, packing, receiving, storing finished product and maintaining inventory accuracy, following safety protocols and promoting efficient warehouse practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and supporting the overall production process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly labeling, categorizing and storing items in designated locations.
- Ensure First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method is followed for stock rotation.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials and products within the warehouse.
- Arrange and stack items in an organized manner, optimizing space utilization.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
- Prepare and pack orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, maintaining proper documentation and record keeping.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
Position requires lifting product weighing from 20 - 45 pounds repeatedly during the work period. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping as you move product.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous warehouse experience required
- Forklift experience required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma
- Must adhere to Cape Breton Beverage`s Food Safety Policy
- Must adhere to ISO 22000 and PAS 220:2008
- Must adhere to Cape Breton Beverage`s GMP policies
- Good physical health
- Team-player attitude
- Self-starter/takes initiative
- Provide regular, reliable and predictable attendance
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Safe driving record strongly preferred
- Class 1 Driver’s License is an asset
