Speedy Transport Group Inc. founded in 1941 as a local, same-day parcel pick-up and delivery service, Speedy Transport (SZTG) has grown to be one of Canada's largest privately held carriers.
We are seeking energetic and outgoing individuals for the position of Customs Processing Supervisors.
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Night Shift - 10:30pm - 7:00am
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision for the STPC/Customs Processing Department
- Keep the Administrative Manager informed of any customs issues
- Ensure that all STPC employees understand and operate within department policies and procedures
- Evaluate staffing requirements and performance standards
- Ensure that all bonds are processed in an expedited fashion
- Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of the STPC team to maintain and continuously improve service levels to customers as well as enhance flexibility in response to changing business needs
- Proactively support the STPC team by leading and troubleshooting problems as they arise
- Ensure internal and external customers are provided with requested information
- Collaborate with relevant departments within the company to meet company objectives and resolve customer issues
- Aid drivers with their requests
- All other tasks upon request
Position Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience
- A strong knowledge of PARS and PAPS is an asset
- A strong knowledge of logistics and freight flows
- Strong communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- An ability to build relationships with Customers
- An ability to adapt to fluctuating work volumes
- Ability to organize and assign workflows to subordinate
