Chemistry Teacher / Tutor
Bridge Education is looking for a passionate and responsible Chemistry Teacher / Tutor to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, clear communication skills, and the ability to help students build confidence in Chemistry.
Position: Chemistry Teacher / Tutor
Location: Vancouver, BC
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Flexible, mainly after school hours and weekends
Responsibilities:
Teach Chemistry to high school students, including Grade 10–12 Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and exam preparation.
Prepare clear lesson plans based on each student’s learning needs.
Explain chemistry concepts in an easy-to-understand way, including atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, acids and bases, equilibrium, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry.
Help students review homework, prepare for tests, and improve problem-solving skills.
Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents when needed.
Create a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
Strong background in Chemistry, Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
Familiarity with the BC high school Chemistry curriculum is an asset.
Experience teaching AP Chemistry, IB Chemistry, or SAT Chemistry is a plus.
Strong English communication skills.
Responsible, patient, organized, and passionate about education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with high school students.
Ability to teach both in-person and online classes.
Ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to different students.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
