We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress / Customer assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fabricating and repairing high-quality garments and possess strong sewing skills. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for producing, altering, and repairing various types of clothing and textile products.
As a customer assistant, you will be in charge of greeting, taking measurements and helping clients with all their garment needs.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate garments according to specifications, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Alter existing clothing items to fit customer requirements or design specifications.
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Maintain an organized workspace, including proper storage of fabrics and tools.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and fulfill customer orders.
- Assist in inventory management within the warehouse, ensuring materials are stocked appropriately.
Skills
- Proficient in sewing techniques and fabric manipulation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise work.
- Familiarity with various types of fabrics and their properties.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and other related equipment.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production schedules.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Must speak and read English fluently.
