Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding and caulking as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Read and interpret blueprints to determine the scope of work and materials needed. Restore and maintain surfaces by performing drywall repairs and other necessary construction tasks. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Rig equipment as needed for high or difficult-to-reach areas during painting tasks.
