Job Description – Coordinator

The Action Committee of People with Disabilities (ACPD) is a regional non-profit organization that has been providing services to the community since 1975. ACPD is a cross-disability organization serving all people regardless of disability type, including physical, developmental, and mental health. We are operated primarily by and for people with disabilities, and we are committed to advocating for the empowerment, social inclusion, and economic equity of people with disabilities.
Job Summary:
The Coordinator plays a key facilitative and supportive role by assisting in the day-to-day administrative functions of ACPD. In coordination with ACPD staff, volunteers, and the Board of Directors, the Coordinator helps organize systems, support communication, and contribute to the collaborative delivery of programs and services. This position supports—not replaces—the collective efforts of the organization.
Reports to:
The ACPD President (between Board meetings) and the Board of Directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Administrative support to Board and staff, including minute-taking during meetings
-Support coordination of contracts and preparation of grant applications
-Website upkeep
-Collaborate on the development and maintenance of policy and procedure manuals, job descriptions, and other organizational resources
-Team coordination
-Occasional reception duties
-Along with other program lead staff, facilitate recruitment, orientation and training of new volunteers and staff
-Support day-to-day email management, conduct basic financial tracking, and ensure compliance with annual reporting requirements in collaboration with relevant team members.
-Support ongoing projects and initiatives as directed by the ACPD President or Board of Directors.
-Project Management: From time to time ACPD has short term projects that the coordinator will oversee and/or administer. Currently ACPD has funding for a New Horizons for Seniors Grant Project. This project will support seniors with disabilities and people with disabilities to be more connected and included in society through social events, topical presentations, and technical training. The coordinator will be the Project Manager for this project, ensuring that the program is complete by the March 30, 2027 funding deadline.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Hours of Work and hourly rate:
32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 - 4 p.m. at $24/hour. Occasional evening and weekend meetings are required. This is an in-office position; working from home is on an occasional basis only.
A satisfactory criminal history check will be required.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
