Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ needs and medical histories to develop personalized treatment plans
- Perform professional massage therapy techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities as appropriate
- Maintain a clean and sanitized treatment area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend follow-up sessions or additional therapies if necessary
- Keep accurate records of treatments provided and client progress
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and ensuring a positive experience
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements to maintain licensure
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Massage Therapist in accordance with New Brunswick regulations
- Active registration and membership in good standing with CMTNB (College of Massage Therapists of New Brunswick)
- Active membership with AMTNB (Association of Massage Therapists of New Brunswick)
- Current professional liability insurance coverage
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to health and wellness treatments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures and address client concerns
- Ability to work in a professional, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality
- Prior experience in massage therapy is preferred but not required; training will be provided for new graduates who meet licensing requirements
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients
