As Franchise District Manager (FDM), you will act as the primary operational partner between our franchisees and the corporate support center. We are looking for someone who understands full-service restaurant operations at a high level and can build strong relationships while driving results across multiple locations.
This is a highly visible field leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented franchise environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supporting operational excellence and franchise performance across 18 restaurant locations throughout Alberta, representing two established restaurant brands.
- Driving consistent execution in Food Safety, Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards
- Conducting regular restaurant visits, operational reviews, and business consultations with franchisees and leadership teams
- Coaching franchisees and managers to improve sales, profitability, labor performance, guest satisfaction, and operational execution
- Reviewing financial performance and identifying opportunities to strengthen restaurant results
- Ensuring compliance with approved brand standards, systems, procedures, and menu execution
- Supporting franchisees through restaurant openings, remodels, and operational development initiatives
- Building strong business relationships with franchise partners, vendors, and internal corporate teams
- Assisting with training programs, leadership development, and operational rollouts across the region
- Traveling throughout Alberta to support the business, some weekends will be required.
What We Are Looking For
- 5–10 years of multi-unit full-service restaurant management experience
- Previous experience as a Franchise Area Manager, District Manager, Regional Manager, or similar multi-unit leadership role is an asset.
- Strong operational background within a recognized national full-service or family dining restaurant brand
- Proven ability to lead franchise relationships and improve multi-unit operational performance
- Strong financial acumen and business analysis skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating independently in the field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Google Sheets, Google Docs, and PowerPoint
- Must reside in Edmonton
- Must be available for regional travel roughly 35% of the time.
