Job Summary
We are in partnership with Armour Transportation, and are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations around Greater Moncton Area. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, lift up to 55 lbs. and the ability to handle freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Duties
- Operate and drive heavy trucks to transport goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight using pallet jacks or other equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the vehicle as needed.
- Monday to Friday 6:30 start time.
Qualifications
- Proven minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license Class 1.
- Must be able to operate manual gear trucks.
- Clean driving record with no major violation
- Must be 19 years of age
- Must be able to work in Canada
- Reliable and Strong work ethic
