Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures are followed.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients, and provide personalized service to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by properly handling food items, preparing simple food offerings, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods by prioritizing tasks like serving customers, restocking supplies, and cleaning workstations.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Conduct routine food handling procedures with attention to hygiene regulations to ensure safety for both guests and staff.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Micros POS for smooth transaction processing.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Solid understanding of food handling, safety standards, and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction balancing.
- Effective serving skills combined with a friendly attitude that creates a welcoming environment for guests.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and service.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices to ensure compliance at all times.
