Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Site Supervisor and Laborer (Drywall Taper) to join our team for a new project that will have a 2-year duration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. As a Skilled Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and ensuring project success.
Duties
Requirements and Responsibilities
.Must be able to drywall board, tape, sand, and paint.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction.
· Understanding of Site Supervision and Health and Safety, maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
· In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHSA guidelines
· Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
· Ability to communicate and report effectively
· Good physical condition and stamina
· Any certificates relating to Construction is an asset, i.e. Working at heights, confined spaces, first aid, 4 steps, WHMIS etc.
- Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in the assembly and installation of structures or equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe workplace
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
- Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
