Estimator / Sales Representative – Insulation Services
Koda Insulation Inc. is seeking a motivated and reliable Estimator / Sales Representative to join our growing team in Ottawa, Ontario. This position involves meeting with homeowners, inspecting attics and insulation systems, taking measurements, preparing estimates, and helping customers choose the best insulation solutions for their homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction, insulation, home renovation, roofing, HVAC, or sales who enjoys working directly with customers.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer homes and job sites throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas.
- Conduct attic inspections and assess existing insulation conditions.
- Measure attic spaces and calculate insulation requirements.
- Identify opportunities for air sealing, attic insulation upgrades, ventilation improvements, and energy-efficiency improvements.
- Prepare accurate estimates and quotations using company pricing guidelines.
- Explain products, services, and recommendations to customers.
- Answer customer questions and provide professional advice.
- Follow up with customers regarding estimates and proposed work.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, measurements, and customer communications.
- Coordinate with installation crews regarding project requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, insulation, home improvement, estimating, or sales is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage appointments.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and accessing attic spaces.
- Basic understanding of residential construction and building systems is an asset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use smartphones, email, and basic computer software.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to safely access attics and crawl spaces.
