Lakeview Church is seeking a Youth Ministry Associate to support our Youth Pastor with all Youth ministry programs. The primary responsibilities will be focused on providing program and pastoral leadership to our JrHigh Program.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Ministry Support:
● Help visualize and create strategies for JrHigh Ministry.
● Work collaboratively with the Youth Pastor to establish and complete administrative tasks.
● Organizing weekly program materials.
● Assist in administering weekly and monthly newsletters.
● Oversee communication through Instagram.
● Assist in set-up, facilitation, and clean-up for Thursday program.
● Running Sunday Morning JrHigh once a month.
Community Building:
● Support community-building activities and initiatives amongst volunteers and students.
● Work collaboratively with the Youth Pastor to train, equip, empower, and assist volunteers.
Creative Programming:
● Support community-building activities and initiatives amongst volunteers and students.
● Invest relationally in the lives of volunteers.
● Provide pastoral care and support to volunteers.
Pastoral Care
● Provide relational and spiritual care for JrHigh students and leaders.
● Collaborating with the Youth Pastor on spiritual formation plans for JrHigh students.
● Engaging in Sunday Morning Services as invited and able.

WHO ARE WE?
Lakeview Church has been active in Saskatoon for over 100 years. We are part of the Free Methodist Church in Canada, a worldwide movement with historical ties to the abolishment of slavery, early advocacy of women's rights, child labour reform, and the establishment of hospitals and schools.
Our church community is wonderfully diverse and passionate. We have people of all ages and stages from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Our average attendance at our worship services is 550 people. Our staff team is dynamic and loves to laugh together. We have 8 staff positions on our Pastoral team, and 10 staff positions on our Operations team.
Sunday worship services and Home Church are the central expression of church life at Lakeview. We value gathering as a collective community, and cultivating deep relationships.
Each week we average over 60 students from grades 6-12 in our in Thursday Youth program, and 25 students from grades 6-8 in our Sunday morning JrHigh program. We have an incredible team of 25+ volunteers serving Youth in a variety of ways.
