We are seeking casual staff for the position of Rehabilitation Care Worker for our group home in Burnaby.
Job Summary:
In consultation with the Program Manager, the Rehabilitation Care Worker supports persons with disabilities by providing life skills training and support services for clients regarding issues such as personal care, access to community leisure programs, housekeeping duties, planning and preparing meals, booking medical appointments and organizing a weekly schedule. The Rehabilitation Care Worker empowers the client(s) to perform all aspects of daily living as independently as possible, providing support and intervention where necessary.
Qualifications:
Recent related experience working with the brain injured or other disabled population in a group home setting
Current certification in Emergency First Aid or equivalent, CPR level A
Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Proficient in written and spoken English

Starting Rate:
$27.92/ hour daytime
$24.76/ hour overnight
Required Availability:
AM shifts between 8 am - 5 pm
PM shifts between 4 pm - 12 am
Overnight shifts between 12 am - 8 am
