Lahso Childcare Infant & Toddler Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Toddler Educator (IT) and Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in South Surrey.
This full-time position involves supporting the developmental needs of young children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating positive learning experiences for young children.
Mandarin speaking is required.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
Location: South Surrey, BC.
Duties
- Create and implement age-appropriate programs and activities that support children's development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in care.
- Observe, document, and communicate children's developmental progress.
- Maintain open and professional communication with families and colleagues.
- Support daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, rest periods, and outdoor play.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies..
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate and/or Infant & Toddler (IT) Certification.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Criminal Record Check.
- Strong knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
