Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU) is currently recruiting a Sr. Analyst, Business Planning to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Business Planning & Analysis and will be based in the Calgary office. The Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit is part of Pembina’s Facilities Division and is involved in the fractionation storage and terminalling of our products throughout North America. In the role of Sr. Analyst, Business Planning you will be responsible for OPEX forecasting, asset scorecard reporting and analysis.

Prepare monthly forecast for assigned assets, and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations;

Support plant managers in the preparation and review of the annual budget and LRP;

Assist in the preparation of monthly internal (P&L) and various management reports;

Prepare monthly and quarterly EBITDA variance analysis;

Update key operational metrics, including external OPEX rates and fixed fees and review with the Commercial team;

Prepare annual equalization/13th month adjustments;

Provide support and coverage for revenue forecasting;

Assist in the preparation of annual Budget and LRP presentations and analysis;

Collaborate regularly with other planners, accounting, and finance departments;

Partner with Production Accounting, Customer Service, Business Development and Operations to understand business context;

Work closely with other members of group to ensure business and accounting changes are understood and implemented;

Provide visible commitment and engagement to meet or exceed Pembina’s health, safety, environment, and security goals;

Other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned;

5+ years of experience in the infrastructure/midstream industry;

Accounting or Finance Degree; CPA or CFA designation considered an asset; Knowledge related to facility operations and joint venture accounting is preferred;

Experience with accounting cycles (i.e. monthly, quarterly);

Experience with SAP R4, SAP Analysis for Office, BPC Analyzer;

Strong knowledge of all MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;

Attention to detail complemented with demonstrated analytical skills to resolve complex problems;

Effective written communication, organizational and relationship building skills complemented by a strong work ethic is essential for success in this hands-on role; and

Quick learner, self-motivated, able to work both independently as well as cooperatively with the team under tight deadlines to generate superior results.
