About the Role
We are looking for a high-energy and outgoing Shop Associate to join our bike rental team near Stanley Park. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
As a Shop Associate, you will be assisting customers with bike rentals and sales, handling transactions, preparing bikes, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day shop operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, presentable, and confident speaking with customers from around the world.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers with bike rentals and purchases.
- Recommend bikes and accessories based on customer needs.
- Handle cash, POS transactions, and customer paperwork.
- Demonstrate how to safely use bikes and equipment.
- Prepare, organize, and return bikes to racks and storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop.
- Answer customer questions and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with general daily shop operations.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High-energy, positive, and extroverted personality.
- Professional and presentable appearance.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs comfortably.
- Basic Math skills for handling POS transactions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Bonus Qualifications
- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience
- Bike or cycling knowledge (preferred but not required)
Pay: $18.25 per hour
