Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver - Class 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and heavy equipment across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and efficient delivery of goods. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 3 commercial trucks for the transportation of freight, heavy equipment, and other materials.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle readiness.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports related to freight movement.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Assist in securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
Skills
- Valid Class 3 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving operations.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and handling heavy equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict safety standards at all times.
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
