Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Main Street restaurant in Cape Breton. If you have a passion for food preparation and enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used
- Assist with food inventory management and ordering
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food production
Experience:
- 2+ experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and food service best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and cooking methods

Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
