Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. Proficiency in various accounting software is essential, with experience in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero highly preferred. The successful candidate will support budgeting, account reconciliation, and bank statement analysis to ensure smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and record keeping
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Perform account reconciliation and bank statement analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting functions
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Support budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and insights
- Prepare reports for management review and assist with audit preparations as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a small business environment
- Strong proficiency in accounting software including Excel & QuickBooks is required
- Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation procedures
- Familiarity with account analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively
