North America-based Axiom Material Handling Solutions is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for for planning, organizing, and directing operations related to ongoing projects in the company.
Job Purpose: Working collaboratively with the Program Manager and assigned Project Managers, the Project Coordinator coordinates and monitors all project needs for AMHS, ensuring successful project execution. Responsibilities include managing reporting, schedules, costs, risks, and changes, as well as serving as a key client interface.
Ø Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (GANTT, Milestone) with clear timelines and milestones, ensuring alignment with contract completion dates.
Ø Coordinate project resources, track materials and equipment, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
Ø Facilitate effective communication through regular stakeholder meetings, prepare and distribute project status reports (financials, schedule, risks, issues), and proactively escalate potential roadblocks.
Ø Identify, assess, and escalate project risks to the Project Manager, contributing to the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
Ø Quality Assurance: Review test plans and completed work documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Conduct supplier site inspections as needed.
Ø Implement and manage a robust change control process to document, budget, and schedule all project changes, ensuring alignment with project objectives and budget constraints.
Ø Support the estimation process by gathering data for accurate cost and resource forecasts. Gather detailed information for tender submissions.
Ø Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures. Manage inventory and track materials and equipment for project execution. Some supplier visits may be required. Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and maintain profitability.
Ø The Project Coordinator must provide leadership that results in safe work culture and is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crew under their direction.
Skills/Qualifications:
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team management, organization, and risk management.
Ø Ability to read project drawings, and understand quality requirements
Ø Maintain working relationships with team members, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Ø Handle the administrative duties of the position, including completion of required documents.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills for negotiation and presentations, team management, organization, and risk management.
Qualifications:
Ø Ideally possess or working towards a Project Management designation (PMP, GSC, Prince2, etc.)
Ø 2-5 years of industrial construction, fabrication, or mechanical project experience.
Ø Ability to create and manage the project schedule.
Ø Working knowledge of CAD, BIM, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerBI, and other software.
Ø Asset– possess a Journeyman’s license (Millwright or Equivalent)
Ø Asset– possess a degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent work experience.
Ø Must be able to travel 70%; must have own vehicle
Ø Has a valid and clean driver’s license.
Ø Ability to travel across Canada and the United States as needed.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
