Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Dining Room Server to provide exceptional service to our guests in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering a positive dining experience. This role involves interacting with diverse clientele, ensuring timely service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns efficiently
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area before, during, and after service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and dietary options to assist guests effectively
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with restaurant policies
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tables
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a diverse clientele
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is advantageous for record keeping and communication purposes
- Knowledge of food safety standards and customer service best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
