Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic is looking for a dedicated Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our team!

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing independently while being supported by a skilled and experienced team of Registered Veterinary Technicians and veterinary assistants. As the primary veterinarian on site during your scheduled shifts, you will have the autonomy to manage cases, build client relationships, and practice medicine while contributing to the continued growth of our clinic.

Responsibilities
- Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions in companion animals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform routine and advanced medical procedures, including surgery and dentistry
- Collaborate with RVTs and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Educate clients on preventative care, treatment options, nutrition, and overall pet wellness
- Interpret diagnostic results and develop appropriate treatment recommendations
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Eligible for licensure in British Columbia
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience preferred
- Comfortable practicing independently and making medical and surgical decisions confidently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and client service
- Ability to work collaboratively with support staff in a team-oriented environment
- Passion for continuous learning and professional growth
