JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management, planning, communication, and overall execution of warehouse activities. Leading the warehouse team, the Warehouse Manager ensures all operational and functional requirements are achieved daily while proactively planning for upcoming needs. In collaboration with the Equipment Manager and Logistics Manager, The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring all event needs are prepared and managed efficiently to support successful event execution. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a full-time 44hr/week position, based at the Toronto Warehouse. *We are currently at Evans & Islington and are re-locating to 401 & Islington in summer 2026*
Job Duties
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to help ensure full warehouse optimization.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment including general facility, housekeeping and groundskeeping.
- Supervise, schedule and manage a team of warehouse employees, including casual labour, including employee relations activities such as hiring, delegation, training, and performance management.
- Ensure all outgoing event equipment, custom items, sub-rented items, and shipments are accurately prepared, inspected and completed on schedule.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the customized rental software (IntelliEvent Lightning)
- Ensure that the standards of asset tracking and labelling on the inventory equipment is accurately maintained
- Analyze warehouse operations and identify areas requiring improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate daily warehouse assignments, assign priorities, delegate work and ensure adequate staffing coverage to meet operational requirements
- Ensure that timesheets are complete on a bi-weekly basis for the warehouse team
- Assist to maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and hazardous materials in conjunction with Operations team members
- Operate lifting devices such as forklifts and hoists
- Resolve any discrepancies in inventory in conjunction with the Equipment Manager
- Assist in cargo handling, loading/unloading of vehicles and trucks, and load securement in accordance with established safety requirements
- Participate in the Operations team on-call rotation
- Work collaboratively with teams, departments, and clients in a polite and professional manner
Job Requirements
- Three years of experience with managing and leading a team and five years of experience in warehouse setting
- Defined experience in conflict resolution and people management, with the ability to identify performance metrics and take appropriate action to address performance gaps
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret goals, objectives and policies
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
- Strong formal and informal leadership skills
- Ability to deal with a constantly changing environment and industry with patience and understanding
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to use and adapt to various software and automated tools (Tableau, RFID automated workflows, etc.)
Working Conditions
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Occasional overtime during peak periods
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
- Involves extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Ability to lift, move, or manipulate objects up to 23 kilograms (51 lbs) repeatedly
- Ability to climb stairs, crouch, work at heights as needed

Total Compensation
Total compensation ranges from $68,000 to $70,000 on an annual basis, excluding annual performance incentives.
