Millbrook Valley Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! We are a full-service small animal practice committed to providing state-of-the-art veterinary medicine while creating a welcoming, Fear Free experience for every patient and client.
About You
You are someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a veterinary clinic (required)
- Enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets
- Is compassionate, organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Works well independently while also being a supportive team member
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Maintains a positive attitude and is eager to learn
Responsibilities
As part of our team, you may:
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client communications
- Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized hospital
- Restrain patients safely and compassionately
- Assist with laboratory samples, pharmacy duties, and other daily hospital tasks
- Support the team in providing an exceptional client and patient experience
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary clinic experience is required
- Experience with Avimark practice management software is considered a strong asset
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for animal care and client service
