We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Meat Packer / General Laborer to join our food processing team. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on meat packaging and processing. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the food industry, with a focus on sanitation, safety, and quality control. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in meat cutting, packaging, and manufacturing processes within a supportive team setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meat packing, ensuring products are accurately weighed, labeled, and sealed according to safety standards
- Operate packaging equipment and machinery efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Support meat processing activities, including butchery and meat cutting under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas to comply with food safety regulations
- Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, moving products, and organizing materials within the production line
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with packaging, manufacturing, or the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food processing environments
- Basic understanding of butchery or meat cutting techniques is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating industrial equipment is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds safely
- Willingness to adhere to strict hygiene standards and safety regulations at all times
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
