Overview
We’re seeking a sharp, high-energy Hobby Product Buyer to drive sourcing, purchasing, and product flow across our global vendor network. This role is responsible for keeping our shelves ahead of the curve, ensuring fast production and shipping, and maintaining a constant pulse on what’s happening in the hobby industry.
A top priority of this role is managing our Asian manufacturers. You’ll be at the front line of communication, speed, and coordination to ensure we always have the newest products ready for pre-orders and fast market deployment.
This is a momentum-driven role for someone who thrives on ownership, speed, and industry awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and purchasing across global suppliers, with Asia as a primary manufacturing hub
- Maintain daily communication with key vendors to ensurefast production and fast shipping
- Track new product releases, manage pre-orders, and ensure we always have the latest items ready for market
- Manage purchase orders, costs, lead times, and ETAs inside our ERP system
- Monitor inventory levels and trigger reorders to protect in-stock position
- Keep a constant pulse on the hobby industry, spotting trends, new brands, and upcoming releases
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and warehouse teams to align supply with demand
- Identify risks early and act quickly to protect timelines and revenue
- Maintain clean, accurate purchasing and vendor data
- Push vendors for clarity, speed, and accountability
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong buying, sourcing, or procurement experience
- Comfortable working with international manufacturers, especially China
- Confident communicator with vendors
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Comfortable operating inside an ERP system
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and fast-moving
- Able to prioritize speed without sacrificing accuracy
- Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable with pressure
- Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is a must
Strong Advantages (Not Mandatory)
- Accumatica ERP experience
- WeChat-based business communication experience
- Hobby, toys, collectibles, models, or consumer goods background

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
