The Central Alberta Amazons are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Coach to lead our Junior Female Hockey Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment while supporting the growth of female athletes both on and off the ice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all practices, games, and team development activities.
- Develop season plans and support individual player development.
- Foster a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and teamwork.
- Work collaboratively with team staff, players, parents, and the Amazons Director.
- Ensure compliance with Hockey Alberta and league requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in female hockey.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to athlete development and positive coaching practices.
- Required Hockey Canada/Hockey Alberta certifications (or willingness to obtain).
The Head Coach reports directly to the Central Alberta Amazons Director and plays a key role in shaping the future of female hockey in Central Alberta.
