Inspection and Quality Assurance
-
Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that parts meet specified tolerances following deburring and post-processing.
-
Perform visual inspections to identify burrs, sharp edges, surface defects, and non-conformances using magnifying tools or microscopes as required.
-
Ensure all deburring processes meet the company’s quality standards and specifications prior to releasing parts for the next stage of production.
-
Identify and escalate non-conformances or quality concerns to the quality control team in a timely and accurate manner.
Documentation and Reporting
-
Accurately document all deburring activities, inspection results, and corrective actions in accordance with company guidelines and quality requirements.
-
Maintain detailed records of deburring processes, including methods used, tools applied, and any part-specific observations or corrective actions taken.
-
Communicate effectively with quality control and production teams to provide timely status updates on parts and report any issues encountered during processing.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance
-
Regularly clean and maintain deburring tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, and longevity.
-
Identify and report equipment performance issues or maintenance needs promptly to prevent disruptions to production output.
-
Organize and maintain a clean, orderly workspace that reflects the expectations of an advanced manufacturing operation.
Safety and Compliance

-
Follow all company policies and procedures, including attendance, workplace behaviour, and operational protocols.
-
Identify potential safety hazards and report concerns promptly to supervisors to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Team Coordination and Process Improvement
-
Work closely with CNC machinists, 3D printing technicians, and quality control inspectors to ensure seamless production workflow and consistently high-quality output.
-
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to burrs, surface finishes, and post-processing challenges.
-
Identify and suggest improvements to deburring processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across the production area.
Professional Attributes and Team Contribution
-
Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment by sharing observations, supporting colleagues, and maintaining a respectful and professional attitude on the shop floor.
-
Communicate clearly and promptly with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners regarding part status, process issues, and production priorities.
-
Demonstrate accountability for the quality and accuracy of completed work, taking ownership of assigned tasks through to completion.
-
Maintain focus and composure during periods of high production demand, approaching challenges in a calm, solution-oriented manner.
-
Adhere consistently to established standards for workmanship, safety, and documentation, and encourage the same standards in those around them.
-
Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement by actively seeking to develop technical skills, learn new processes, and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the deburring area.
