Job Description:
We are looking for an upbeat, reliable, and organized Dental Receptionist to act as the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage the scheduling flow, and handle administrative duties with accuracy.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Patient Communication: Greeting patients, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing inquiries.
- Scheduling: Scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, and rescheduling/canceling as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Maintaining patient records, updating contact information, and managing patient privacy.
- Financial and Insurance: Verifying insurance coverage, calculating co-pays, billing patients, and submitting insurance claims.
- Office Support: Handling inventory and ordering office supplies.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Communication: Strong, professional communication, compassion, and attention to detail, professional tone, clear messaging with patients and clinical staff
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer software, particularly electronic health records and scheduling tools.
- Organization and time management: Scheduling, multitasking, prioritizing urgent issues, keeping the day running on time.
- Empathy and customer service: Warm greeting, calming anxious patients, handling complaints respectfully.
- Attention to detail: Accurate booking, chart notes, insurance details, and payment posting
- Experience: Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role is often preferred.
- Organization and time management: Scheduling, multitasking, prioritizing urgent issues, keeping the day running on time.
- Empathy and customer service: Warm greeting, calming anxious patients, handling complaints respectfully.
- Attention to detail: Accurate booking, chart notes, insurance details, and payment posting.
- Technical knowledge: Basic dental/medical terminology, understanding of insurance processes, use of electronic health record systems
Schedule
- Full‑time, typically 4–5 days per week
- 1 Saturday a month
