Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse/Forklift Driver to join our distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and clamp trucks to manage inventory, pick orders, and ensure efficient warehouse operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Warehouse/Forklift Driver plays a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting overall warehouse productivity.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift, clamp truck, and order picker equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking tasks accurately using warehouse management systems and order picking procedures
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing products
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods with heavy lifting as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations during order processing
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics operations
- Valid forklift certification; experience operating clamp trucks and order pickers is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and calculations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Prior experience with order picking is advantageous
This position offers an essential role within our distribution operations, supporting timely delivery of goods while maintaining safety standards across the warehouse environment.
Pay: $16.60-$18.00 per hour
