About the role
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with long-term growth potential at our steel fabrication facility in Guelph. The role is primarily forklift operation (~95%) in an outdoor yard environment, year-round in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Offload inbound shipments and manage material flow to and from the fabrication shop
- Strap and secure structural steel loads to trailers in compliance with MTO requirements
- Operate a heavy-duty 12-ton multidirectional forklift designed for handling long structural steel loads (primary duty)
- Use an overhead crane to move heavy structural components
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- Forklift experience required; experience with heavy industrial or multidirectional forklifts is a strong asset. Overhead crane experience is an asset (training available)
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, year-round
- Must be able to use a tape measure in both imperial and metric
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- AZ licence is an asset but not required
