Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Maintenance Worker to join our team and help maintain the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping, gardening, and maintenance tasks to ensure the grounds are well-kept, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable operating various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in landscape maintenance, and bulk plant / cardlock-related activities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as Loader, skidsteer, forklift and lawn cutting equipment for landscaping and facility maintenance.
- Manually manage systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Perform gardening tasks including planting, mowing, and fertilizing
- Conduct landscape maintenance to preserve the appearance of grounds
- Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance of our facilities, and repair work as required, including painting, snow clearing and facility inspections.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with construction, maintenance or installation projects related to facility spaces
- Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report / address issues promptly
- Support seasonal clean-up activities and prepare grounds for special events or inspections
- Managing warehouse organization and cleanliness receiving inventory and preparing orders.
Experience
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction and maintenance techniques is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical labour outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

Pay: $24.00-$33.00 per hour
