Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe and efficient operation of cranes and processing equipment
- Ensures the processing equipment is operating to specifications
- Performs daily inspection on lifting equipment prior to start up
- Enters required information into the AS400 per control plan
- Ensures all necessary reports have been completed
- Identifies packaged material per sales order requirements
- Ensures non-conforming product is brought forth to the Production Supervisor for disposition
- Generates and applies finish good tags to packaged product
- Updates inventory material locations (RTS)
- Maintains good housekeeping in the work area
- Take part and initiate continuous improvement efforts
- Trains new employees as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor Quality System Requirements (Authority & Responsibility)
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
Tools & Equipment:
- Deslagging and grinding equipment, measuring equipment, hand tools / banding equipment, computer equipment (RF scanner / AS400) lift trucks and packaging area cranes Material & Products - Not limited to ferrous and non-ferrous product in form of sheet, plate, strip, extrusions and long product

Qualifications:
- High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience. English spoken and written.
The base pay for this position is $23.17/hour (CAD). This position is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive plan. Incentive awards, if any, are based on business and individual performance and are not guaranteed.
