Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional front desk support and ensuring smooth daily operations within our medical or dental office. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and familiarity with office management systems to deliver a seamless patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages efficiently
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations in coordination with clinical staff
- Maintain organized front desk operations and ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming
- Collaborate with medical or dental staff to facilitate patient flow and administrative tasks
- Manage correspondence, including emails, faxes, and mailings related to patient care
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations regarding patient information
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and familiarity with dental or medical office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience operating multi-line phone systems and handling administrative duties at the front desk
- Office experience in healthcare settings is preferred but not required
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
Pay: $19.80 per hour
