This is an IN - Home position and the therapist is to travel to the client's home in Toronto for 15-20 hours per week. Evening and Afternoon availability is needed.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Therapist Job Description:
The overriding goal of Intellectual Biceps Limited is to enhance the autonomy and quality of life of individuals, and others who support them. Each Intellectual Biceps client has a behaviour support plan, and it is the responsibility of the behavior technician to work with caregivers, and/or staff, to put in place strategies within this plan and achieve the desired outcomes.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Therapist Responsibilities:
- Assisting in restructuring environments and activities to support the clients’ behaviours
- Teaching skills that allow the individual to communicate and/or function more effectively
- Review behaviour plans and other instructional materials developed by behaviour analysts
- Facilitate consistent implementation of the behaviour plan, and monitor outcomes.
- Implementing behavioural procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviours
- Data collection as prescribed by a recipient’s behaviour analysis service plan
- Communicate openly with behaviour analysts and regional coordinator
- Complete daily progress notes related to implementation of the intervention plan
Instructor Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or completed post-secondary degree or diploma
- Willingness to enrol and complete RBT certification
- Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Therapist Requirements:
- Proven ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum, or other developmental disabilities
- Clear level-two background check
- Verifiable work references
