Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in daily bakery operations, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the quality and presentation of baked goods. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their selections of baked goods and bakery products
- Package baked items, ensuring proper food handling and safety procedures are followed
- Operate POS system
- Restock bakery shelves with fresh products throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery display areas
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, wrapping, and packaging baked goods
- Follow all food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
- Operate bakery equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and decorating tools
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
- Tips are paid out each shift.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic cooking or baking skills; familiarity with baking processes is preferred
