Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients and supplies
- Support meal preparation for special events or catering as needed
- Adhere to health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar food service role within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of serving standards and meal presentation techniques
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in dish quality
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Prior experience with food handling regulations and sanitation practices is preferred
