Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Sales Associate/Cashier to join our liquor store team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with product selection, process sales transactions accurately, and help maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience.
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about beer, wine, spirits, and other store products.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, credit, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all liquor laws and age-restriction regulations.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; rotate inventory as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards.
- Receive and unpack deliveries and assist with inventory counts.
- Monitor product levels and report low stock to management.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns professionally.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and responsible alcohol sales practices.
Qualification
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must meet all provincial requirements for the sale of alcohol (ProServe certification in Alberta-AGLC).
Schedule
- Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
- Flexible scheduling available.

Licence/Certification:
- ProServe Certification (AGLC)
Pay: $15.00 per hour
