Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Dental Office Administrator to join our dental practice. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily office functions, managing patient interactions, and supporting clinical staff. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental and medical office procedures, strong administrative skills, and familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Dentrix. A background in human resources, supervising experience, and knowledge of medical terminology are highly valued. Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups efficiently using Dentrix or similar software
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification and billing procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff and managing employee records
- Supervise front desk staff and coordinate team activities to ensure operational efficiency
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication
- Assist in budgeting and inventory management for office supplies and equipment
- Ensure the office environment adheres to health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting, with familiarity using Dentrix or similar EHR systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to staffing, onboarding, and employee management
- Experience with electronic medical records management and billing procedures
- Background in hospital or acute care settings is a plus, including nursing or healthcare administration roles
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and vendors
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures

Pay: $70,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
