Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified NDAEB Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and office operations. The Dental Assistant will support the dental team in providing exceptional dental services while ensuring efficient practice operations.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly.
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary.
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits.
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to medical terminology documentation and insurance processing.
Qualifications
- NDAEB Certification as a Dental Assistant is required.
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, and familiarity with CAD systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
