THE ROLE
The ideal candidate for this position will need to be able to be cross trained to perform a variety of tasks that include operating industrial laundry mat-rolling equipment, forklift, shipping and receiving of inventory, prepare loads for distribution trucks for delivery to be re-distributed to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Attendance is an essential function for the job
- Verify Shipments – checking incoming deliveries against packing slips and inspect for damage
- Maintain efficiency standard – mat rolling, bulk load paper, soap, mops etc.…., filling route crates
- Work in assigned area of production responsibility as scheduled in a safe and efficient manner
- Process Outgoing – Pack, weigh, label and schedule freight courier transport
- Equipment Use: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks safely
- Record Keeping – input data into computerized management and inventory system
- Transportation of Dangerous goods – checking incoming deliveries, recording in TDG binder, Government of Canda certification
- Clear understanding of English
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory
Qualifications:
- Ability to work assigned shift- attendance is required
- Basic math reasoning skills
- Problem solving and communication skills
- Lifting Ability: up to 25-50 pounds continuously; Push/Pull Ability: up to 150 pounds assisted.
- Able to Stand/Walk/Sit for 8 hours a day
- Capability to work in a fast-paced work environment that may have fluctuating temperatures and loud noise levels while working with machinery in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Must be able to adhere to safety standards
Experience:
- Prior experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving or an industrial laundry or production environment preferred
- Capability of understanding work instructions in English preferred
DEPARTMENTS AND DUTIES
Quality workmanship, teamwork and regular attendance are essential in these roles:

Compensation: The hourly rate that Canadian Linen and Uniform Service reasonably expect to pay for this position ranges from $23.52-$24.76 depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
