Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. Duties
- Assist residents and clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to medical staff
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with mobility, including lifting when required, ensuring safety at all times
- Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
- Help with household tasks and errands as needed for home care clients
- Collaborate with nursing staff, family members, and other caregivers to deliver comprehensive care
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
- Ability to communicate in ASL is an advantage but not an asset
- Strong understanding of patient care practices, including dementia and hospice care
- Ability to work effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized attention
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and compassion
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards through light cleaning duties
- Flexibility to adapt to different care needs and work environments.
