Job Summary
Create Compounding Pharmacy - MONCTON is looking for an exceptional Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team. We are a leading compounding pharmacy group that has expanded into a facility in Moncton, NB. Our facility has been open since January 2025 with NAPRA guidelines to offer sterile, non-sterile and hazardous compounding. The Pharmacy Assistant will work with Pharmacists, Technicians and Assistants to produce high-quality compounded products.
Duties
- Liaising with customers, prescribers and various stakeholders in both English and French
- Creating patient profiles in Kroll
- Entering and processing compound orders in Kroll
- Filling prescriptions
- Compounding all types of non-sterile compounds - Including but not limited to creams, ointments, suspensions, solutions, injections, tablets, capsules, suppositories etc
- Cleaning workstations and equipment between compounding products (including stacking/ unstacking dishwasher)
- Making sure all batched items are well stocked
Qualifications
- Prior hospital experience or Lab settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and patients, demonstrating compassionate patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards related to handling pharmaceuticals and laboratory materials
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to accuracy, safety, and continuous learning
- Billingual English and French are required
