Clare McFaul LTC (Centre Hastings) LP., a 128-bed long-term care home, is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., our family members, valued employees and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Summer of 2026.
Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent part-time Registered Practical Nurse.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Supports with the implementation and maintenance of quality risk management activities and conducts audits.
-Follows plan of care, observes and reports any substantial findings and/or changes, as required.
-Assists with resident admittances, transfers, departures and deaths.
-Prepares and administers prescribed medications, treatments and dressings, supports clinical care programs and ensures plans of care are created, updated, maintained and kept current.
-Supports effective and efficient procurement and supply control procedures and initiatives to improve resident and employee satisfaction and completes all nursing documentation.
-Delivers nursing, personal care, scheduled and non-scheduled assessments of residents as required.
-Completes all aspects of InterRAI LTCF, as required.
-Ensures critical incidents are investigated, reported and appropriate follow-up is taken.
-Participates as a member for assigned committees, attends meetings and educations sessions.
-Communicates with related Long-term care Health Agencies to promote coordination and/or planning long-term care services.
-Communicates concerns, family complaints, etc. to the Registered Nurse/designate, provides recommendations, as appropriate and supports implementation of corrective actions, as required.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Current registration and a member in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse with the CNO.
-Knowledge of nursing best practices and procedures.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions in English.
-Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when assisting residents, family members and visitors.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities are required.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
